Breakfast and After School Club

​

Our Breakfast and After School Club is for children who attend Woodlands Park Primary School, taking place in the school hall.

​

The hall is a large open space which we section off into different areas using activities, books, rugs and cushions. We have children attending from reception up until year 6 and ensure we have a wide range of activities to suit all the children’s needs and interests.

​

In the morning the children have free choice of the available activities and can help themselves to breakfast which includes cereal, toast, juice and fruit. Staff ensure the younger children all get to their classroom in the mornings.

After school there are planned activities ranging from science experiments, construction, arts and crafts, cooking, outdoor games, board games and much more. The children have high tea which can be something like crumpets, wrap pizzas, hot dogs or cous cous salad.

​

It is a very important part of our ethos to encourage independence in children so the children not only help to take care of their environment but they also have the opportunity to cook, plan their own tea menu, their planned activities and own newsletter.
